RAU Awards 2019: winners, experts, guests and much more (photo-report)

On September 20, the Third Award Ceremony of the best retailers and developers – Retail & Development Business Awards – was held in Kiev at the CEC Parkovy. How it was – in the photo-report.

The award ceremony brought together first persons of key players in retail and commercial real estate spheres, investors and financial organizations, consultants and manufacturers’ representatives, as well as guests from near and far abroad: more than 250 top-managers and company owners.

Top-management and line managers of companies playing a key role in the civilized retail market formation and development in the country: H&M, Auchan, LC Waikiki, Decathlon, Multiplex, NOVUS, Varus, Watsons, ARGO, Kasta, Zolotoy Vek, Ukrzoloto, Epicenter, Leroy Merlin, JYSK, Allo, Citrus, Comfy, Foxtrot, Eldorado, Cosmo, Antoshka, Zarina, VOVK, Dragon Capital, Ocean Plaza, Dream Town, Respublika, Retroville, Lavina Mall, IFC Gulliver, Gorodok Gallery, Yves Rocher, USUPSO, AGROMAT, SMYK, Budhouse Group and other companies were the Retail & Development Business Awards 2019 guests.

Event guests waiting award ceremony

The best retail companies competed for victory in 15 nominations, and the largest online-stores were represented in 7 more nominations. Shopping and entertainment centers fought for victory in eight categories. Winners were determined by the Retail & Development Business Awards Expert Council voting, which included industry associations, retail, development, consulting and brokerage companies’ representatives, and open voting by market participants.

Also, Retail & Development Business Awards’ experts and guests chose people who made the most in 2018-19 for the retail and retail real estate development in Ukraine. Andrey Shutko, Development Director of Fozzy Group, won in the nomination “Person of the Year in Retail”. Vladislav Chechetkin, Founder and Co-owner of the Rozetka.ua marketplace, won in the nomination “Person of the Year in e-commerce”. The “Person of the Year in Development” award was received by Vagif Aliyev, Owner of the Mandarin Plaza, Lavina Mall, Ocean Mall and Blockbuster Mall. Winners’ full list can be found on the link.

The event was held from 19:00 to 23:00 and was divided into three parts – according to blocks of winner’ awarding. During musical breaks, market participants could communicate informally, exchange opinions about winners, tell about their achievements and discuss plans for the future.
