The Consulting Council of the Ukrainian Retail Association starts its work

Twelve top-managers of leading Ukrainian companies in the field of retail and development entered the RAU Consulting Council.

The purpose of the Council creating is to increase the level of the Association expertise and to promote the qualitative market development, thanks to the strong composition of the Council. Once a quarter, experts will meet to discuss key industry issues and develop recommendations for its overcoming.

The Consulting Council is called upon to solve the following tasks:

  1. The creation of actual and useful content for the Association events programs (the determination of trends and tendencies in the retail and development market);
  2. The assistance in attracting market experts and opinion leaders to speak in the Association events programs;
  3. The relevant and important ideas generating (problems / needs, with which the Association can help) for retailers by joining the Association;
  4. The participation in the educational project formation.

Composition of the Council:

Andrey Zhuk

  Co-founder of the Ukrainian Retail Association


He has more than 12 years of experience in retail and development. In 2005-09, he was Head of the Amstor Group’s Rental department. In 2009, he joined the Co-owners of the jewelry supermarket chain Ukrzoloto. In 2013 he became a Co-founder and since then has been a member of the Board of the Ukrainian Retail Association

Oleg Kruchinin

  Co-founder of the Ukrainian Retail Association


He has been linked with retail trade for more than 20 years. From 1996 to 2002 he worked in the company Craft Foods Ukraine, and then moved to the Ukrainian representation of the Concern Adidas. In Adidas, Ukraine he worked 9 years — until 2011. Since 2013, he is a Co-founder and a member of the Board of the Ukrainian Retail Association

Alexander Fialka

  Co-founder of the Ukrainian Retail Association


He has been working in retail for over 15 years — since 2002, when he took up a managerial position at MTI. Later he cooperated with leading Ukrainian retail companies: from 2006 to 2012 he held the post of Adidas Ukraine Commercial Director, and then worked as MD Sales Director. In 2013, he became together with Andrey Zhuk and Oleg Kruchinin Co-founder of the Ukrainian Retail Association.

Vladimir Timochko

Investment Company Dragon Capital Managing Director


He is responsible in this position for investment management of ten active real estate projects in Ukraine. Prior to Dragon Capital, Vladimir was Deputy Director for Consulting and Investment Services at Colliers International. Vladimir Timochko is also the Director of J Comfort Neruhomist — developer of the Green Hills cottage town, and is the Non-executive Director of the developer of shopping centers in Ukraine. Vladimir graduated from the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and has a master’s degree in economic theory.

Mikhail Merkulov

Arricano Real Estate CEO


Mikhail Merkulov has 16 years of experience in various business sectors in Central and Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia and Austria), as well as MBA degree from Manchester Business School (2007). In 2016, Mikhail won the Person of the Year nomination in the real estate market-2016 by voting for all participants of the Real Estate Forum of Eastern Europe and Asia (EEA Real Estate Forum & Project Awards).

Maxim Gavryushin

Budhouse Group Commercial Director


Maxim Gavryushin is a specialist working in the real estate market of Ukraine since 2003. Since 2009, he has been the Budhouse companies group Commercial Director, since 2014 — the Chairman of the National Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC)

Leonid Pogrebnyak

The jewelry chain “Sribna Krajina” General Director


He has extensive experience in various companies in the retail trade of Ukraine. In 2004-12, he held the position of the company Allo Deputy Director. From 2013 to 2017 — the jewelry chain “Golden Age” General Director. Since 2018, Leonid Pogrebnyak has led a new jewelry company in the Ukrainian market — the company “Sribna Krajina”

Andrei Shutko

            Fozzy Group Development Director


Andrew is one of the veterans of the grocery retail Ukrainian market leader: Fozzy Group. The company develops such famous and popular brands as Silpo, Fora, Thrash!, Fozzy Cash & Carry, Favore and others. He began work in the Fozzy Group in 2001, and in 2006 he took the post of Director for development. Tomáš Wroblewski

Watson Group in 2005, for the American pharmaceutical company Brystol-Myers Squibb (BMS), for 2 years he served as Commercial and Financial Director at LU Polska Danone Group company. In November 2007, he headed the company “DC Ukraine”. Unique practical experience and expertise help Tomasch to build a strategic leadership for the retail drogerie-format chain.

Dmitry Rasskazov

Expert in retail, Ex-head of the Citrus chain Board of Directors


Dmitry has been working in the retail industry for more than 15 years. In different years he led the development of such chains as Gloria Jeans, LC Waikiki Russia and Antoshka. In 2015 he received MBA degree from Oxford University. In 2017, he headed the Citrus Board of Directors

Evgeniy Ivanitsa

  JYSK Ukraine Executive Director


He has been holding the position of company JYSK Executive Director since 2006, and during this time he made the chain the undisputed leader of its segment in Ukraine. Before that he worked in the company VENETO, in 2000-02 — the Head of Sales Department, and then for three years he served as Commercial Director.

Vitaliy Semenchenko

Co-founder of the VOVK Studios Chain


Vitaliy managed to be a candidate for master of sports in tennis, and even was a judge in this sport, but decided to do business. His business began with promotion in social chains and a small store in Vyshgorod, and managed to develop it to 24 studios across Ukraine. 2016 and 2017 brought the company the “Choice of the Year”, “Brand of the Year”, “Golden Quality Mark” and “Cosmopolitan Awards” awards, which confirmed that VOVK holds the bar and is just gaining momentum.
