New Commercial Director appointed in Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine
Elena Vdovichenko was appointed the Ukrainian Metro division Commercial Director. This appointment is the first in the history of Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine an internal step at the level of the company Directors Board.
Elena Vdovichenko was appointed to the post from May 1, 2018, as retailer press-service reported by the RAU. She began her career in Metro in September 2005 and worked in various positions in logistics and supply chain management. In November 2013, Vdovichenko was appointed to the post of the Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine supply chain management department Head, and in October 2015 she took up the food products department head post. Since July 2017 Elena has held the company Deputy Commercial Director position.
The chain press-service also stressed that this appointment is the first in the history of Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine an internal step at the level of the company Directors Board and confirms that the Ukrainian team every member without exception has the opportunity to develop and hold high positions in the company.
Earlier, Adrian Arich was occupied the Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine Commercial Director post. He took over as the Metro Romanian division Director of sales, as RAU clarified in the company.
Let’s remind, earlier it became known about the Ukrainian top manager Metro transition to the company managerial position in another country. Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine former sales Director Julia Pilipenko headed the Slovak retail business, as Delo.UA reported.
Info. The German hypermarkets chain, Metro Cash & Carry, entered the Ukrainian market in 2003. Now the company manages 23 Metro Cash & Carry classic wholesale centers in Kiev, Dnepr, Odessa, Kharkov, Lvov, Krivoy Rog, Poltava, Vinnitsa, Zaporozhye, Chernovtsi, Nikolayev, Rovno, Ivano-Frankovsk, Mariupol and Zhitomir; and two wholesale stores “Beri-Vezi” in Ternopol and Lutsk. The company’s sales in Ukraine amounted to 491 million euros for the 2016/2017 fiscal year (October 2016 – September 2017).
