The first store Under Armour in Ukraine will open in the SEC Sky Mall

The company MD Fashion is preparing to enter to the Ukrainian market one of the most innovative sportswear and footwear brands, as well as the main competitor Nike and Adidas — Under Armour.

It is became known about the opening of the first in the country single-brand store Undеr Armour from the posted company’s vacancy of the corresponding outlet director.

“MD fashion company — a fashion footwear, clothes and accessories stores chain — opens its new store Undеr Armour in the shopping and entertainment center Sky Mall, and it announces a competition for the vacancy — the store director”, — the job description says.

At the same time, the store opening timing is still unknown. The company promised to be announced later about the planned date of outlet launch and other opening details. The retailer representatives also avoided answering the question, when and where one can wait for the following Under Armor stores appearance. As a rule, this level brands are only interested in the best SEC of the country, and it usually starts entering the new market from the largest and most solvent city. In the case of Ukraine it is Kiev.

Recall, the plans for MD Fashion to enter Under Armour to the Ukrainian market became known in June this year. Later, Will Van Rensburg, holding the position of Head of Retail Undеr Armour New Markets, confirmed plans for expansion into Ukraine. He said, in an exclusive interview for RAU, that MD fashion will represent the American brand in Ukraine by franchise. At the same time, Undеr Armour does not plan to open its own stores in the country.
