Billa opened two new supermarkets in the Kyiv region
Stores Billa’ chain replenished with two shopping facilities. Company’ new stores began work in the capital, as well as Irpen Kiev region.
As it was reported in the company, the outlet in Kiev is located on 22 Lipkovsky str. and has become the 26th for a retailer in the capital. As for the store in Irpen, it began work on 25B Pushkinskaya str. and became the second for the company in the city. The first one was opened about a year ago on 108 Mechnikova str.
The Billa chain in Ukraine has grown to 31 outlets with two new facilities opening. Most of its are working in the capital (26), two more in Irpen and one more in Vyshgorod, Boryspol (Kiev region) and Zhytomyr.
Recall, the Austrian chain Billa, the REWE Group member, was the first international retailer to enter the Ukrainian market. The company came to Ukraine in the early 2000’s, opening stores in Kiev, Kharkov and the Dnepr. It reached its greatest development in the crisis 2014, when the number of objects reached 39. At that time, retailer’s shops worked in 16 cities of 9 country’ regions. However, in 2017, the company decided to leave regions of the country, concentrating on development in Kiev and the Kiev region.
