Aladdin Shopping Mall is for sale

The international company Cushman&Wakefield appointed exclusive consultant for the Aladdin shopping center sale in Kiev on behalf of Meyer Bergman.

The international investment fund Meyer Bergman purchased the Aladdin shopping center in 2008 from the foreign and Ukrainian investors group. Then the facility cost the buyers up to $60 million, according to some information. Now Meyer Bergman, according to LIGA.net, plans to raise $22.5 million for the shopping center.

Aladdin is a regional shopping center with attractive profitability and high potential, as noted in company Cushman & Wakefield. The shopping center trade square is 10 571 sq. m, where 120 different shops, most of which represent international brands, are located.

“The facility has excellent opportunities to improve the effectiveness of asset management due to external and internal factors. The overall economy improvement, the retail turnover growth and a decrease in capitalization rates, as well as the adaptability of the facility itself for optimization schemes there are among its”, — Vladimir Mysak, the capital markets department Head in the company Cushman&Wakefield in Ukraine, commented.

Aladdin is located at the intersection of the main roads in close proximity to the Poznyaki metro station and bus stops in one of the most densely populated and fast-growing Kiev district. The primary and secondary coverage zones are 300,000 people. The monthly attendance of the shopping center by information company Cushman & Wakefield is about 325 000 people (3.9 million per year). The facility first stage was put into operation in the 2004 second quarter, the second one was opened in April 2015.

Note, that in September 2016 another shopping center — Piramida, located near the Pozniaky metro station, was sold. The object was purchased by the investment company Dragon Capital. After the change of ownership, the Piramida SC management company took a course to the shopping center re-concept, improve the tenant-mix quality, attract new tenants, including world brands, improve the service and attract new visitors.
