The letter of appeal of Retail Association of Ukraine on the closure of the sky over Ukraine

With this letter the Retail Association of Ukraine urges you with to close the sky over Ukraine.

Every hour of open sky over Ukraine results in more killed children and adults among the civilian population, destruction and occupation of Ukrainian cities and towns, destruction of residential buildings, hospitals, children’s institutions and infrastructure that provides population with food, medicine and fuel. Constant attacks from the air and cynical use of prohibited bombs andmissiles are aimed to maximize the number of victims, destroy Ukraine’s infrastructure and to prevent further struggle against the aggressor.

Furthermore, strategically important facilities are being destroyed, access to many logistics centers and warehouses with food and medicines are blocked, thus, preventing hundreds of shops from supply. Due to constant airstrikes, the population, which is in places of active hostilities, cannot receive humanitarian aid.

Every day of the unclosed sky delays our victory over the enemy. The strength of Ukrainians is in their unity, as well as the strength of the entire civilized world. Today’s Ukraine is a wound on the body of Europe and the world, which is getting even deeper every hour, suffering from airstrikes.

One must understand, every bomb and missile is a knife thrown into the back of European values and humanity that are basis of the world order. Ukraine currently protects not only its children, its land and independence, but also the peace and well-being of every family in the world. No country can be sure that it would not be the next target of the aggressor country! And now, more than ever, we need help and support in this difficult struggle.

The aggressor must be stopped. And this can only be if all the counties unite their forces. We urge you to support the appeal of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to NATO to the sky over Ukraine!

We need to act immediately! People’s lives must be beyond formality!
