The Cabinet of Ministers and the specialized Committee of the Verkhovna Rada listened to the remarks of business associations and adjusted the draft law on tax increases

Officials took into account a significant part of RAU’s proposals.

What has changed?

• the 50% tax on banks was removed, the increase in the income tax rate of financial institutions was postponed to the future (not in 2024);
• clarified the advance payment for gas stations that sell both gas and fuel;
• clarified that the increased military levy will be until the end of the year in which martial law is abolished;
• VAT does not increase;
• the military levy on luxury items was removed;
• 1% sales tax, which was supposed to duplicate VAT, was eliminated;
• increased attention to the problem of corruption and shadowing.
