ModnaKasta closes service delivery goods from the US GlobalKasta
The official reason for the closure is “the inability to maintain a service high level and fulfill promises on terms”
It is reported on the modnaKasta official site. The service stops working on June 1, and all orders received before May 31 will be delivered to customers. ModnaKasta could not guarantee the services required quality and the stated delivery time due to “the ability lack to provide only our influence on service all stages,” as stated in the company’s message.
The Internet-retailer presented the GlobalKasta project last spring, and even then a consumer’s number expressed their claims to the service quality. In particular, they were not satisfied with the failure to meet the promised delivery dates, as well as problems with determining the parcel weight and dimensions: sometimes buyers had to pay more for “air delivery”.
In July 2016, Nova Posta became the operator for GlobalKasta’s goods delivery, which made it possible to shorten the lead time for orders and reduce the service cost to $ 5/kg. But a month later – in early August – Nova Posta announced the launch of its own similar project for the goods delivery from stores in the United States – NP Shopping. In fact, GlobalKasta and Ukraine’s largest private delivery service began to play on the same field. Soon another logistics company, Delivery, started offering a similar service. Obviously, in such conditions, GlobalKasta’s prospects looked more than vague, and the company decided to close the service.
At the same time, even cooperation with Nova Posta did not guarantee clients compliance with deadlines: in March, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine launched an inquiry into the inconsistency of the goods delivery declared and real terms from abroad.
