The third solemn ceremony of the best retail companies, e-commerce and retail real estate in Ukraine awarding – Retail & Development Awards-2019 – will take place September 20, in Kiev, CEC Parkovy.
The Ukrainian Retail Association announces the third large-scale event holding – Retail & Development Awards – at which the most successful retail and development companies in country will be named and awarded.
Retail companies recognized as the best by participants and market experts are awarded with the “Retailer of the Year” Award in 14 nominations, and the largest online-stores will compete for victory in 7 nominations. A special prize is awarded to the most successful person from the retail sector, as well as (for the first time this year) from the e-commerce industry: “Person of the Year in Retail” and “Person of the Year in e-Commerce”.
This year the following nominations will be presented at the Retail & Development Business Awards:
- Retailer of the Year in drogerie – retail chains offering products related to beauty, care and health are estimated.
- Boutique Retailer of the Year in cosmetics and perfumery – retail chains with store’ square up to 100 sq. m, offering products related to care, cosmetics and perfumes are estimated.
- Retailer of the Year in the equipment, electronics and gadgets’ segment – retail chains with square from 100 sq. m (except monobrand stores), offering household and computer equipment, mobile devices and accessories are estimated.
- Jewelry Retailer of the Year – retail chains offering jewelry, items made of precious metals are estimated.
- Retailer of the Year in goods for children’ segment – retail chains with the number of stores from 10 that offer toys and goods for children are estimated.
- Supermarket of the Year in FMCG – retail chains selling products and consumer goods are estimated.
- Hypermarket of the Year in FMCG – retail chains selling products and consumer goods, where the non-food group is at least 30% of the assortment are estimated.
- Retailer of the Year in the sportswear and footwear’ segment – retail chains selling products for sports, tourism and outdoor activities are estimated.
- Retailer of the Year in the goods for home and comfort’ segment – retail chains selling furniture and household goods are estimated.
- National Fashion Operator of the Year – Ukrainian companies operating in the fashion segment, which opened at least 10 stores on June 30, 2019 are estimated.
- International Fashion Operator of the Year – foreign companies operating in the fashion-segment and having opened on June 30, 2019 at least 10 stores with square from 300 sq. m are estimated.
- Anchor Fashion-tenant of the Year – foreign companies operating in the fashion-segment and having opened on June 30, 2019, at least 5 stores with square from 1,000 sq. m are estimated.
- The debut of the Year in Retail – international companies that have opened at least 1 store with square over 500 sq. m in the period from 01/01/18 to 12/31/18 are estimated.
- Person of the Year in Retail
- e-commerce Retailer of the Year in the goods for health, beauty and care’ segment
- e-commerce Retailer of the Year in the equipment, electronics and gadgets’ segment
- e-commerce Retailer of the Year in fashion
- e-commerce Retailer of the Year in jewelry
- e-commerce Retailer of the Year in the children’s goods segment
- e-commerce Retailer of the Year in the sportswear and footwear’ segment
- Person of the Year in e-commerce
Shopping centers recognized by participants and market experts results as the best in one of 8 nominations receive the award “Best SEC / Shopping Center Awards”. Trade and entertainment centers with a rental square over 10,000 sq. m opened no later than 01/01/19 are being estimated and awarded. The nominees’ list does not include the SC and SEC located in the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as in certain district of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions controlled by the pro-Russian militants. A special prize is awarded to the most successful person in the retail real estate development sphere: “Person of the Year in Development”.
This year, the following nominations will be presented at the Shopping Center Awards:
- The best small SEC outside million-cities – shopping centers operating in regional centers (except Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepr and Lvov) with rental square up 10,000 sq. m to 19 999 sq. m are estimated.
- The best average SEC outside million-cities – shopping centers operating in regional centers (except Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepr and Lvov), with rental square up 20,000 sq. m to 39 999 sq. m are estimated.
- The best big SEC outside million-cities – shopping centers operating in regional centers (except Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepr and Lvov), with square over 40,000 sq. m are estimated.
- The best small SEC in million-plus cities – shopping centers operating in Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepr, Lvov with rental square up 10,000 sq. m to 19 999 sq. m are estimated.
- The best average SEC in million-plus cities – shopping centers operating in Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepr, Lvov, with rental square up 20,000 sq. m to 39 999 sq. m are estimated.
- The best big SEC in million-plus cities – shopping centers operating in Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepr, Lvov, with rental square over 40,000 sq. m are estimated.
- The Debut of the Year in Development – shopping and shopping entertainment centers with rental square from 10,000 sq. m, opened in the period from 01/01/18 to 12/31/18 are estimated.

The third solemn ceremony of best companies of the retail, e-commerce and retail real estate of Ukraine awarding – RDBAwards-2019 – will be held September 20 from 19:00 to 23:30 in Kiev in the CEC Parkovy (16A Parkovaya Road).
