Colin’s Ukraine launches online-store in May, and before the end of the year it will be open 7 new stores

In addition to the online-channel, Colin’s Ukraine continues to expand and retail chain ─ it will be open about 7 stores this year.

Colin’s Ukraine Director of Sales Volkan Peker reported about it during the speech at the session “International experience in the Ukrainian market realities” at RETAIL & DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS EXPO 2018.

On average, every day a Turkish retailer opens two stores around the world. The Ukrainian division of the international brand started the work in Ukraine in 1996 and until 2018 expanded the chain to 65 stores. In 2018 the company will be enter online and will be continue to expand the chain, as Volkan Peker said.

Online-buying of Colin’s clothing brand will be available in May ─ according to Volkan, the store technical part is already being tested, but the launch will take place in May-June this year. The online-store will operate on a common platform of an international company, to which Ukraine will also be connected.

“It will be convenient for our customers, as we are using our online store’s experience in other countries”. Most recently, we launched an online-channel in Russia, now it’s turn to Ukrainian buyers”, ─ Peker commented news about the launch.

The company expects from the online-channel in Ukraine to receive sales more than the retailer’s most successful retail-outlet, according to him. The online generates 6-7% of the Turkish retailer sales in the world, in average on the company. Although the percentage of purchases through the Internet reaches 10-15% in Europe, as explained by Peker.

The Ukrainian team also increases the physical presence of the company: for the next two years, it is planned to open 10 retail-stores, 7 of it will be open this year, in addition to the online-channel. The task is to increase the chain to 75 stores by 2020, according to the Colin’s Ukraine plans.

One of these discoveries has already taken place ─ in Kiev Retail-Park Petrovka.  The company was able to present one of the widest brand assortments in the Ukrainian market in this Retail-Park, including the premium segment.

The next store will be open in one of the Kharkov SEC. The company also works with internal business-processes ─ this year CRM will be restarted ─ it is the internal company development. The retailer wants to get away from plastic cards, and make each client’s service “more individual”, according to Volkan.
