AUCHAN sold its share proportions in the chain Furshet
AUCHAN Retail Ukraine sold its stake in the Ukrainian chain Furshet, namely 20% of the shares that it owned since 2007. The investment company VI2-Partners has become the buyer.
It is reported by the retailer official website. As is stated in the release, this decision correlates with the AUCHAN Retail Ukraine global strategy, which provides for the multi-format development under a single brand-name.
Alexey Chernyshov, Managing Partner of the investment company VI2-Partners, that bought a share in the Furshet chain, was told to Interfax: “Partnership in Ukraine is quite a difficult topic, but at the same time it is a development. Modern partnership requires different competences from partners. VI2-Partners have the competence not only to manage the trading facilities, but also the financial management in crisis conditions, the risk management, the business process management”.
Recall, earlier AUCHAN company bought the hypermarkets Karavan chain assets. Due to the acquisition, AUCHAN Group increased its market share in the regions and strengthened its presence in four new cities: Kharkov, Dnepr, Zhitomir and Chernovtsy. Now the retailer owns 20 outlets with 160,000 sq. square.
On October 3, the official opening of the French chain first facility, which was opened at the on-site chain Caravan point, was held.
