Infographics: 25 new brands, entered the Ukrainian market in 2017
In last year more than two dozen new foreign brands began to work in Ukraine. Most of the brands that appeared in the country are from Western Europe and the USA.
Last year became very “productive” for Ukrainian retail. The economy stabilization, growth of consumer demand and income of Ukrainians have become good incentives for international players to resume expansion into the country. Some operators returned to the market brands that had previously closed its outlets – for example, Gerry Weber, Baldessarini, Lee Cooper and Hugo Boss. Others have never been present in Ukraine before.
Which pleases: the new names represent almost all price segments – from medium to premium (Scotch & Soda, Liu Jo and others). That is, retailers are counting on further growth in effective demand and believe in the prospects of the Ukrainian market. Moreover – in Ukraine enter and companies with a worldwide reputation (Under Armor can be called as an example), offering modern high-tech products. The trend is encouraging.
What else it is worth paying attention to: most brands begin its development from the capital, and choose either the SEC, already proven successful (Ocean Plaza, Gulliver, SkyMall), or the new projects (Lavina Mall).
