On August 30th, Respublika Park Shopping Mall hosted Ukraine’s first Open Indoor Skydiving Cup. The competition was organized by the Ukrainian Indoor Skydiving Federation in partnership with Aerodium Kyiv wind tunnel, with technology partner Lenovo.

Participants competed across several disciplines: solo freestyle, group acrobatics, and vertical slalom. The event welcomed both experienced athletes from various disciplines and young flyers under 16.

“Respublika Park supports the development of new sports in Ukraine. It’s wonderful that Ukrainian athletes can train and compete in such modern disciplines right here in Kyiv,” noted General Director of Respublika Park Shopping Mall Yulia Shchasliva.

The competition followed a judging system aligned with international standards and became a significant event for Ukraine’s entire flying community. Indoor skydiving is a new, highly visual and spectacular sport that’s already transforming sports culture in the US, France, Singapore, and the UAE. Technology support for the event was provided by Lenovo, a company that creates smart technologies changing the world for the better.

Meanwhile, on the mall’s central plaza, a patriotic concert by TIK band with frontman Viktor Bronyuk took place. The musicians, who have been performing for Ukrainian audiences for 20 years, presented beloved hits “Love Ukraine,” “Deers,” “White Roses,” and premiered new songs. The concert was organized for everyone who enjoys humor, values sincerity, and above all loves Ukraine.

The performance was accompanied by a charity fundraiser for implants and surgeries for veterans at the Tytanovi rehabilitation center. For donations of 300 hryvnias or more, audience members automatically entered a raffle to win a Zeekr Mix car and gifts from partners.

Entry to all events was free, allowing a wide audience to discover this new sport and contribute to supporting veterans. Over the last weekend of August, the mall welcomed 205 000 visitors, with more than 2 million for the entire month.
