DeFacto will open its first store in Ukraine in the Odessa SEC Riviera
The Turkish brand DeFacto first store will be open in Ukraine in the spring of 2018.
Two consultants on retail real estate was informed this to the RAU and during the interview at Retail days Istanbul this was confirmed by Serdar Ersoy, DeFacto Vice President and Chief Growth Officer. He did not disclose till the opening exact date and object technical characteristics, promising to provide all details later.
Recall that it became known about the decision to enter the Ukrainian market in mid-2017, but then the company declined to comment on its plans, at the same time did not deny the retailer’s interest in Ukraine. The other Turkish chains active development in our country led to the fact that the company accelerated its intentions implementation. In particular, the clothing brand LC Waikiki – one of the DeFacto main competitors in the Turkish market – has been operating in Ukraine since 2013, it has 27 stores already, and it intends to open 33 more outlets in the next five years. Another large Turkish clothing retailer, Koton, is also preparing to enter the Ukrainian market, and the Swedish group H & M confirmed the first store rapid opening in the country in the Kiev Lavina Mall. Also one of the sportswear world’s leading brands Under Armor opened two stores: in Kiev and Kharkov at the last year end, and during 2018 it intends to increase its chain to 12 outlets.
DeFacto Company was founded in 2003 and specializes in the production and trade of men’s, women’s and children’s outerwear, underwear, footwear and accessories. Since its inception, the company’s stores chain has grown to more than 500 retail outlets around the world.
