The Kyiv SEC Sky Mall third stage will open in 2021

Third stage total square of one of the most visited shopping centers in Kiev will be over 70,000 sq. m, the rental square – 43 000 sq. m. The developer also plans within the project a large-scale entertainment component with square ​​about 18,000 sq. m.

The shopping center Sky Mall director Julia Vanchenko told about this RAU. The company has already completed the project, has passed all necessary approvals and began work on the pile field, according to her.

“The third stage construction active phase start is scheduled for March 2019. We will need for the three-story facility construction about 20 months. The commissioning is scheduled for the 2020 end – the 2021 beginning”, – Yulia Vanchenko said.

At the same time, the SEC Sky Mall director noted that the company intends to significantly strengthen the tenant-mix shopping and entertainment center, as well as to enter the object the facility those segments operators that are not currently represented in Sky Mall, due to this project.

“In particular, the household goods segment operators will be in the second stage, which are poorly represented in the operating facility. The square significant part will be reserved for fashion-shops, a children’s entertainment zone and restaurants with large terraces and views of the Dnieper. In general, we see the retailers’ great interest in this project. Already now preliminary tenancy agreements have been concluded on the third stage 40% square”, – Yulia Vanchenko clarified.

She noted regarding the object entertainment component that the company intends to implement a new format for Ukraine. “The new entertainment will be there, which has not yet been on the Ukrainian market. This entertainment zone target audience is children from 6 to 13 years old. We are currently negotiating with investors who are interested in participating in the project. We have not yet decided whether we will manage the entertainment component independently, or we will transfer it to another company. We will present the project in more detail after agreeing on all the conditions”, – Yulia Vanchenko added.

Info. SEC Sky Mall is one of the largest shopping centers in Kiev, located on the peninsula behind the Moscow Bridge, on 2-t General Vatutin Avenue. The complex total commercial square is 88,000 sq. m.  The shopping center first stage was commissioned in November 2007 (hypermarket with 22,000 sq. m total square); the second stage was commissioned in June 2010. More than 260 stores offer a wide selection of clothing, shoes, perfumes, accessories and jewelry, linen, household appliances, products for children and at home.

For several years now, the litigation between Andrey Adamovsky and the  development company Arricano Owner Estonian Hillar Teder, has continued around the ownership right on the SEC.
