The Fourth Modern Retail Forum: The Future of Retail is in Complete System of Innovations Technologies and Emotional Experience

These were the main accents of the fourth Modern Retail Forum and the second in 2019. The event was organized by the international company Modern-Expo and was held within the 12th Congress of the FMCG Market, where Modern-Expo was also a key partner.

There were several discussion panels and Modern-Expo Forum with the topic “The Way to the Store of Future”. Experts from Poland, Ukraine, Romania, the United Kingdom and the United States presented different retail spheres.

Retail through the prism of trends, innovations; neuromarketing potential for understanding the needs of the modern consumer; ethnographic patterns of customers behavior. Why do some stores collapse, and others become successful? How does neurology link with consumer experience?

Petro Pylypiuk (Ukraine) and Bogdan Lukasik (Poland), Modern-Expo co-owners and CEOs, were also speakers on this event as they have more than 20 years of experience on the B2B market. Petro Pylypiuk in his presentation “The role of innovations in retail transformation” explained why today the company is focusing on innovation and what effect it will bring in the near future. Bogdan Lukasik in his topic  “Black and white aspects of the technological revolution in retail” focused on the barriers for the latest technologies and age segments as a retailers target audiences. He explained how to plan strategies and which partner models are the most successful.

Today Modern-Expo is an international company, leading manufacturer and supplier of retail solutions in Central and Eastern Europe. This means that its competencies include stores concept development, and turnkey work format: from the idea to its implementation. This is what  SQUARES company does. Igor Didok, partner in SQUARES, presented the topic “Brand story in shop design process”. He talked about how new concepts can transform trading space and change the emotional component of modern retail.

Modern-Expo also organised the exhibition of SMART products, which were manufactured together with its innovative partner MINT. There were Self Checkout, GL refrigeration showcase; multimedia tobacco backwall with smart shelf and smart shelf itself. Together with OMNIC, innovative manufacturer of complete self-service solutions for logistics and retail, Modern-Expo also presented the line of postal terminals.

Modern-Expo boost, which is a part of “The Store of Future” large project, which is preparing for the EuroShop2020 exhibition in Dusseldorf, was the highlight of the Congress. It. Here were the most important meetings with such well-known brands as Zabka, Netto, Rotte Group, Coca-Cola, Epicentr K.

As a result, this year the Congress was visited by 1200 guests, 450 buyers and top managers of retail chains, 500 producers of the FMCG sector and 250 service providers.
