Officially: Decathlon will open the first store in Ukraine in the 2019 spring

The sports goods world’s largest manufacturer Decathlon Group announced the first store opening in the Ukrainian market in the 2019 spring.

“The French company Decathlon, which is represented by more than 1,400 stores in 50 countries of the world, opens its doors to Ukrainian users in the 2019 spring”, — it says in the company statement.

The retailer press-office also reported that at the September end the company’s top management will hold a press-conference, which will tell about the first store opening in Ukraine and further plans for the Decathlon development in the country. The event will be attended by the  Decathlon Ukrainian division General Director Florent Guillaume, Commercial Director Rosario Cotzolino and Director on production in Ukraine Jerome Bianchi.

Recall, it became known about the interest of Decathlon to the Ukrainian market even in the 2017 spring. Then LIGA.net reported that the retailers’ first object will open in the capital shopping center Retail Park on Petrovka.

Info. Decathlon Group is the French company Association Familiale Mulliez sports division. It is represented in the Ukrainian market by supermarkets and hypermarkets Auchan and construction hypermarkets Leroy Merlin chain. The Decathlon brand has more than 1,400 stores in 50 countries of the world.
