On February 28, the charity veterans' boxing tournament "Republic Cup" took place at Kyiv's Respublika Park mall, drawing thousands of spectators and becoming a landmark event in the field of adaptive sports and veteran rehabilitation.

The tournament was organized by the prosthetic and rehabilitation center Tytanovi and Respublika Park mall. The event's goal was to support war veterans with amputations and to promote adaptive sports as a tool for physical and psychological rehabilitation.

"We endured a difficult winter — without electricity or heat, some lost their homes, our defenders lost their limbs. But they did not break — they returned to sport and to service," said Viacheslav Zaporozhets, founder of the Tytanovi Rehab rehabilitation center.

The event was opened by well-known sports commentator Dmytro Lazutkin and young talented singers — brothers Oleksandr and Davyd Podliashchuky — whose performance immediately set a patriotic tone for the evening. DJ Shawn continued the musical program with a contemporary rendition of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons."

The stage also featured "Titanovi Bity" (Titanium Beats) — a cultural and artistic project by Tytanovi Rehab that combines music and rehabilitation: veterans not only recover, but also create and perform their own musical sets.

A highlight of the evening was the performance by Kozak Siromaha. The artist also met with veterans to personally thank the defenders, emphasizing: "What matters most is not our body, but above all our spirit."

The special guest of the tournament was undisputed world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk. In his opening address, he said: "I bow to you and to all who joined in this. This is how it should be done. We are proud of the guys who will compete today — those who fight for our Country, for our future, for their families."

Twelve boxing bouts took place in the ring, featuring 24 veterans. Each fight demonstrated not only the participants' athletic skill, but also their ability to return to a full and active life despite serious injuries.

The tournament was livestreamed by the Xsport platform, allowing thousands of viewers across the country to follow the event. The evening culminated in a raffle of a Volvo XC90 among the tournament participants.

The tournament was also held in support of a fundraising campaign by the Tytanovi Charitable Foundation to purchase titanium implants for osseointegration surgeries for Ukrainian defenders with complex amputations. Respublika Park mall contributed to the fundraiser, providing financial support of 1,250,000 hryvnias for surgeries for veterans of the Tytanovi rehabilitation center.

The "Republic Cup" was supported by the Broadcasting Company of Ukraine Suspilne, the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Scania, the NGO "Magura", Ibis, and other partners.

"For the first time, a charity veterans' tournament was held at Respublika Park mall. We are proud to be a partner of such an event! It is important to us that as many Ukrainians as possible see how our Defenders — even after severe injuries and amputations — continue to play sports. They are unbreakable, they are strong in spirit! This event is an answer to the question of what business should look like during wartime — standing beside those who defend the country, and beside the society that supports them," said Yuliia Shchaslyva, General Director of Respublika Park mall.

The "Republic Cup" confirmed that adaptive sport is not just competition — it is a space for recovery and mutual support, and the spirit of Ukrainian veterans is unbreakable.
